    About SunSkipper

We started SunSkipper because the best space on a sailing yacht at anchor was the one place without shade.

    Why the foredeck

Spend a day at anchor and you notice where people want to be. The cockpit has a bimini, but it's also the way below and the busiest place on board. The foredeck is wide, quiet and flat — and in full sun for most of the day.

The shade options we found were either bulky, fiddly to rig, or looked like an afterthought on a boat people care about. So we designed SunSkipper: a taut canopy that hooks onto the forestay, straps to the stanchions, goes up without tools and packs into one bag.

It is made for a boat at rest — at anchor, on a mooring or in the marina — and comes down before you sail.

    Our principles

    How we work

    • One idea, done properly

We make shade for the foredeck, and nothing else. Every part is also sold on its own, so a lost shackle never means a new kit.

    • Honest about fit

If we're not sure SunSkipper suits your boat, we'll say so before you buy — send us the make and model and we'll check.

    • Behind it after the sale

30 days to return it, 2 years of warranty, and a real person answering sales@sunskipper.com.
